The best gift an author could get!

I was awe struck when I received this in the mail today. 15 years old Trisha, from Montana, made me a Goth barbie in honor of the ghostly goth character Ruby in Freaksville! Ruby has a minor role in book one, but she won my heart and others too it seems and will have a larger role in Furry & Freaked. I'm totally without words on how touched I was. I had to share, Trisha you brought tears...thank you.

What a tremendous compliment! It just shows how you can touch people and bring characters to life. Writing is a wonderful gift and so was the Barbie.

I love it! She even did Ruby's boots! The hair is really cool. In her note Trisha said it was blonde and she used black and blue Sharpies to color it. Ruby changes her look alot, so I thought this was perfect!

So many wonderful things here!

1) The barbie is fabulous! What a talent.
2) The time she took
3) How your book inspired creativity in someone else.

Amazing all around!

That's wild! I had a reader do a diorama about my debut novel for young readers Dead Frog on the Porch for a school project. I put pics of it on my blog!
