Class of 2k10 set to launch!

This is almost like a re-tweeting myself...lol...but here's info I posted on my other blog, YAedge:

I can't believe it's almost that time, but December 1st doth approach and the Class of 2k10 has some awesome stuff planned. Our beautiful website is live and waiting for you to discover 23 debut YA and MG authors with amazing stories to dig into for 2010. The Wolfy Chicks are proud to be a part of the 2k10 crew.

Check out the author bios, book blurbs, covers, reader guides and trailers. The site is packed with literary goodness. We'll also be featuring 2k10 authors here on the Wolfy Chicks Blog...we promise, you'll get insider information on this new crop of must read titles. ;)

2k10 will be hosting a month long Grad Party for the Class of 2k9 authors - watch for book giveaways and swag contests!

The class is planning to do some high profile author panels during Book Expo America in New York (May 2010) - if you're in the area, we'd love to have you hang with us. Watch out 2010, here we come!

Sneak peek at Kasey Maxwell from Freaksville

Hiya, I thought I'd share. This is a character study the illustrator (Val Cox, www.valcox.ca) did for my heroine Kasey Maxwell. I love her style. My novel has some great funky drawings that add to the story. I can't wait for everyone to see them! January is almost here.

New Moon Mania

I have a confession... Last Thursday night my friends and I went to see New Moon. We even purchased tickets to watch Twilight at 9pm (again) in the same theater and because of the early showing we were able to avoid standing in the finger numbing cold for two hours. (I felt sorry for the poor schmucks that did.) We had prime seats for the midnight showing.

Although, I do prefer my vampires with fangs and less sparkles, I must confess, I am caught up with the characters of the saga. I think that's where the strength of the story lies, the plot has been done before ...maybe even over-done, but the characters are very vivid. You tend to care for them.

I won't post spoilers. I do think this installment was stronger and the special effects weren't as corny. I'm sorry but the running up the tree scene in Twilight had me spitting out my drink in laughter.

And I was very excited to see more of the werewolves, because I have a soft spot, as you know, for the furry heroes....

So what's your take? Did you love it or hate? Did you freeze your tushy off in line?

More cover quote coolness

It's raining cover quotes!(IMOP, right now, is better than men, well, except Dean Winchester (Supernatural)...I'll take him rain or shine...Dean=drool worthy. Sigh, yes, Kitty has a TV Crush. Oh, sorry back to blogging, cover quote coolness no more yummy Hunters...) My editor just informed me that Joy Preble (She's my mentor with the Class of 2K9.) has given me an awesome cover quote, too! I think I'll add to the suspense and not post it...

Her book Dreaming Anastasia is an amazing read. If you guys haven't read it, check it out!

Cover Quote Coolness

I have some news. I've come down from the ceiling long enough to gather my faculties and type this post. Yesterday, my amazing, splendiferous, totally cool editor, emailed me with news. The fabu, superbly talented-writer goddess, NEW YORK BEST SELLING author Maria V. Snyder , not only read FREAKSVILLE, but she gave me an awesome quote to go on my book's cover! I know, someone please pinch me 'cuz I'm still in Neverland at the moment!

A modern day Romeo and Juliet with a wicked twist! An action-packed debut!
